Gallatin Space Self-Service Request

Please write to gallatin.roomrequest@nyu.edu for accounts and space requests.

Use this form to request Self-Service registration for Gallatin students requesting space on a frequent basis. Students looking to request space should use the EMS system. To be eligible for self-service reservation use you must be

  • a Gallatin student and
  • a participant in the Gallatin Arts Festival, Masters’ Thesis showcase, a student of a performance-based arts workshop or performance-based independent study or tutorial, or have the approval of your Gallatin academic adviser.

Gallatin Clubs cannot reserve time through individual members.

This form must be on file in order to process any request for self-service space reservation. You must already have an EMS account through Kimmel and should indicate this when returning this form. Students only need to complete this form once per semester.

Reservations may only be made up to seven (7) days prior to the requested reservation date. Reservations should be made in no more than two-hour increments. Students are limited to a maximum of two (2) hours per week for space reservation. Students wishing to request more time per week on a consistent basis should speak to their advisers. Space at Gallatin absolutely cannot be reserved through Self-Service for lessons, classes, or club/student group-related meetings or activities.

Please note: due to the high demand for space, reservations are extremely limited. If a faculty or institution event arise that conflicts with a requested or approved reservation, the reservation may be modified or canceled. You will receive an email detailing any change in or cancellation of the reservation.

Space is available Monday through Friday from 8:15 am until 9:45 pm and Saturdays from 10:15 am until 5:30 pm (except in the summer). Gallatin is closed on Sundays and university holidays.
