Application Deadline: Monday, May 21, 2018
Gallatin created the Americas Scholars and the Dean’s Honor Society to recognize exceptional students and provide them opportunities to meet and learn outside the classroom. Students in these groups explore particular themes during bi-weekly meetings with faculty throughout the academic year and also travel as groups once a year (for the 2018-19 academic year, groups will travel during Winter or Spring Break). After traveling, group members prepare projects based on their explorations, which they share with the Gallatin community.
Students must be invited to apply. Invited students are rising juniors and seniors who have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.70 in the Spring semester. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have earned a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 (without rounding up) and must have also completed at least 64 credits at the end of the Spring semester of application. The Selections Committee will review your transcript shortly after the application deadline to ascertain that you have met these requirements.
