Americas Scholars and Dean's Honor Society Application

Application Deadline: May 1, 2024

Gallatin created the Americas Scholars and the Dean’s Honor Society to recognize exceptional students and provide them opportunities to meet and learn outside the classroom. Students in these groups explore particular themes during required bi-weekly meetings with faculty throughout the academic year and also travel as groups once a year (either during Winter Break or Spring Break). After traveling, group members prepare projects based on their explorations, which they share with the Gallatin community.

Students must be invited to apply. Students invited in Spring 2024 (for participation in the 2024-25 academic years) are rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors whose cumulative GPA at the time of the invitation is at least 3.85 and who have earned at least 30 credits. The Selections Committee will review your transcript shortly after the application deadline (and after spring grades are in) to ascertain that you still meet these requirements. Applicants must study in person at NYU’s Washington Square campus in the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters and must not graduate before May 2025.
