Adviser Request, Graduate

At Gallatin, each student develops an individualized concentration, a program of study organized around a coherent theme or set of questions and drawing on a variety of academic disciplines and professional fields. List below your proposed concentration (for example, "the fashion industry and the female consumer").
While M.A. students design interdisciplinary programs of study, it is often the case that your adviser will represent one field among the several you hope to incorporate into your plan. Please indicate if you are interested in working with an adviser from a particular field or discipline (for example, sociology, creative writing, history, literary studies).

Adviser Choices

Please suggest up to three NYU faculty members with whom you might like to work. While some of our M.A. students work with Gallatin faculty advisers, many of our students work with faculty from other programs and schools. You may identify prospective advisers by researching the faculty in the programs and schools where you plan to take your courses and by consulting the list of faculty on the Gallatin website (full-time, associate, and part-time faculty may all serve as advisers for M.A. students). We cannot guarantee that the faculty you suggest will be available to advise you, but we will contact them on your behalf.
