The mandatory Gallatin Orientation Week will take place Monday-Friday, August 26-30, 2019 at 1 Washington Place, New York, NY, 10003. Orientation Week will provide you with a substantive introduction to Gallatin’s interdisciplinary approach to education — this year the primary text for discussion at Convocation is Tara Westover’s memoir Educated — as well important information and connections you will need to thrive here. About Me

Gallatin offers various Resource Workshops during Orientation to acquaint you with the resources available to you as a Gallatin student. Please select any resources you would be particularly interested in learning more about, so that we may be sure to offer workshops on those topics.
As a Gallatin student, you are likely interested in several different academic fields of study. Gallatin Interest Workshops will help you learn how to pursue those interests at Gallatin. Please select any topics you are particularly interested in studying. You may select as many topics as you'd like.
During Gallatin Orientation Week, you will have the opportunity to explore various parts of New York City with your peers and with your Orientation Leaders. Below, you will see a collection of possible outings. Please select as many as you may find of interest. Please note that these options may not all be available as an outing during Orientation Week. This form is used as an opportunity to gauge interest in options around NYU and determine our finalized outings.
As a first-year student at Gallatin, will you be living in an NYU Residence Hall, or will you be commuting to campus from home or an apartment?
As a student living off campus, are there any particular concerns you'd like us to address?
As an incoming student you might have some concerns about starting at NYU. We ask that you share yours so that we might better be able to offer support and share resources. You may select as many as you'd like, and please write in any concerns not listed that you might have.

Gallatin Parent/Guardian Orientation will take place 9-11am on Monday August 26, 2019, in The Jerry H. Labowitz Theatre for the Performing Arts at 1 Washington Place. This session is designed to further inform parents about Gallatin and to introduce them to some of the School’s deans, faculty and administrators.
