Planned Course Selections. Include course details below, if available.

Instruction at SMU is in English. Students are advised to review the Singapore Management University's Academic Information for exchange students for detailed information on courses. The SMU Course Catalog by term is available on their website. Only undergraduate courses (Course Codes 001-499, 1200-4038) are available to exchange students. Note that the catalog is for reference only, as not all courses are offered.

The SMU:NYU credit transfer is 1:4, meaning a 1 credit course at SMU transfers to a 4 credit course at NYU. Students typically take 3 to 4 courses at SMU in a semester.

I confirm that these courses are not internship or online courses.

Please submit a 500-word personal statement explaining why you would like to participate in this program and how it fits with your Gallatin concentration. As a reminder, Gallatin’s residency requirement stipulates that undergraduates must complete their final 32 credits in residence at NYU. If you intend to complete your external study during this period, your statement should also address why you are petitioning to be waived from the residency requirement.
