NYU considers the transfer of credit for college courses completed while in high school if:
- the student received a grade of "B" (not “B-”) or better in the courses
- the courses are equivalent to courses offered at NYU
- the course work is in addition to the requirements for high school graduation (these courses should not appear on the high school transcript)
College courses may be used to satisfy Gallatin liberal arts and historical and cultural requirements.
Students wanting to receive credit for college courses completed while in high school should verify that their college transcripts have been received by NYU by e-mailing Gallatin's Office of Academic Support and Institutional Research at gallatin.academicsupport@nyu.
If the student’s official college transcript has not been received by NYU, the student should request to have the official college transcript (not the high school transcript) sent via e-mail to:
Gallatin School of Individualized Study
Attn: Joseph Pisano
jp141@nyu.edu
If it's not possible to have an official transcript sent electronically, please contact Gallatin's Office of Academic Support and Institutional Research at gallatin.academicsupport@nyu.
