Spring Travel Course Application

Gallatin Spring travel courses are open to students enrolled at NYU schools. Students attend a spring semester course at NYU's Washington Square campus and travel to a location related to the course topic during Spring Break. NOTE: Students are admitted on a rolling, first-come-first-served basis, and the course may fill before the deadline. Early application is strongly advised.

  • Program fee waiver request (optional; current Gallatin students and Gallatin incoming transfer students only)

Please submit a 250-word statement addressing academic and personal reasons for wanting to participate in this program. This should include details on how this course will fit into your academic plans. It should also detail any experience that will inform your participation in the course, including relevant coursework, language training, and travel abroad.

Gallatin Dean's Scholarship

For current Gallatin students and incoming Gallatin transfer students ONLY. To be considered for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be enrolled at Gallatin at the time of application, OR must be an incoming Gallatin transfer student whose Gallatin admission can be confirmed
  • Good academic standing (GPA 3.0 or better; no grades of Incomplete)
  • Have a current FAFSA (or for international students, a CSS Profile) on file with the Office of Financial Aid and show unmet need
  • Minimum of half-time matriculation during the semester awarded (changes in the number of credits registered for during the semester may alter your award)

Priority Deadline for Spring Travel Courses: October 1


Students are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline, as funding may be limited or unavailable after that date. Final scholarship decisions will be made in February. Students who disqualify may receive earlier notification.
