Spring 2020 Pass/Fail Option Available to Gallatin Graduate Students
In Spring 2020, Gallatin graduate students may exercise Pass-Fail options for courses that are normally graded A through F. If a student exercises this option, it means that a grade of A through D earned in the course, and assigned by the instructor, will convert to a grade of P on the transcript.
While courses graded with a P will count for credit toward the MA degree, the grade of P will not be computed in the student’s grade point average (GPA). On the other hand, if the instructor submits a final grade of F, the F will appear on the final transcript and it will be computed in the student’s GPA.
The deadline to file or revoke a Spring 2020 Pass-Fail option is May 12, 2020.
Please Note: Spring 2020 courses that have already been graded by March 23, 2020 (e.g., a seven-week course that has already finished), and courses taken before or after Spring 2020 are not eligible for the Pass-Fail option.
